Michelle Meyer
As an artist and a gardener I often find myself in a flux. Do I spend time in my studio or in my garden? I find that the weather here in the Pacific Northwest often helps me decide which means of creativity I will channel on any given day.

As an artist I love texture, motion and color in my work. I like starkness and bold statements. These are also all the things I love about gardening. I stopped feeling guilty about all the time and money I spend in my garden the day I realized that I was painting pictures with plants. Leaf, bloom, colors...they are all a tapestry of beauty that, in my mind, blur the lines for me about which one is the real art.

I hope you enjoy both my portfolios.
